Event Details

This July, Executive Chef of Chelsea restaurant, Dinings SW3, Masaki Sugisaki, will swap one south-west location for another as he joins us in St Mawes to collaborate with Chef Dorian for an unforgettable lunch on the terrace.


On Thursday, 7th July Masaki and Dorian will create a seven-course seafood feast. Served on The Idle Rocks idyllic terrace, Masaki will cook an array of dishes in his signature style with seafood directly sourced from Cornish day boats. This will include Salmon tartare sushi canapes, Hand-picked crab open rolls, Rock Oysters ceviche with yuzu, pickled shallot and caviar as well as sea bass with sake steamed koji.


Dorian will cook some of The Idle Rocks Signature dishes including hand-dived scallop with summer vegetables and a dessert of Cornish strawberry and white chocolate parfait. The pair will collaborate on the main course, a ‘surf & turf’ showstopper of St Mawes Lobster with British Wagyu beef.


The menu will cost £150 per person and will include paired wines from nearby Roseland Peninsula Vineyard, Knightor and two glasses of sake from World of Sake. Be sure to arrive at 12.30 for canapes & aperitifs before taking your seat at the banquet table at 1.15pm.
