Two young Mormon missionaries, the naive Sister Paxton and the more doubtful Sister Barnes, call on Mr. Reed during a storm. He invites them inside and engages them in a theological debate that grows more sinister over time, revealing his obsession with the idea of a "true" religion based on his own twisted belief system.
